Institute for Justice

The Institute for Justice is a libertarian public interest law firm founded by former Reagan official Chip Mellor and Clint Bollick. The Institute has a goal of radical laissez-faire capitalism and has filed a number of lawsuits aimed at ending government regulation of business. It has also played a role in the school voucher movement with legal and advocacy work in defending voucher programs in Milwaukee and Cleveland (source). Founder Clint Bollick attacked affirmative action in “The Affirmative Action Fraud: Can We Restore the American Civil Rights Vision?” which was published by the conservative Cato Institute (source).
