Center for Military Readiness

The Center for Military Readiness is a Livonia, Michigan-based organization that campaigns in support of a “stronger” military in the face of what it sees as a military weakened by diversity policies that grant equal opportunities to women, allow gays to serve in the military, and promote a “radical feminist agenda.” Prominent conservatives on the board include David Horowitz, Linda Chavez, Beverly Lahaye, and Phyllis Schafly, while the organization is run by Elaine Donnelly. Donnelly has gained some national attention for her extreme views claiming that gay rights activists are trying to force “the homosexual agenda on the military” and dismissing the Abu Ghraib prison abuse as being “a feminist’s dream.”
