The first in a series of three commercials produced by Media Mouse about the Iraq war and occupation to commemorate the anniversary of the May 1, 2003 “mission accomplished” speech given by President George W. Bush.

The Trial of Vern Ehlers

A “mock trial” in which Grand Rapids area US Congressional Representative Vern Ehlers is tried as a war criminal. The trial–organized by the People’s Alliance for Justice & Change–focuses on Ehlers’ support for the 2003 invasion of Iraq. During the trial, several witnesses present testimony outlining how Rep. Ehlers violated international law both in supporting the invasion of and sanctions against Iraq.

We have also produced a book containing the script and additional information about Ehlers’ crimes.

A music video by the Grand Rapids, Michigan hardcore band Prophet of a Dawn. The video features footage of the Grand Rapids Critical Mass ride, a monthly mass bike ride promoting alternative transportation.

A documentary on the April 17, 2000 protest against the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), and World Trade Organization (WTO), held in Grand Rapids, Michigan in solidarity with the national mobilization against the IMF and World Bank during their spring 2000 meeting in Washington, DC. The video covers speakers from a variety of social justice movements, the march through downtown, and the police interventions.

Rally for Alternative Transit

A documentary on the Rally for Alternative Transit held in Grand Rapids, Michigan in January of 2000. The rally took place on the first day that US-131 was close for major construction thereby re-routing traffic through a local neighborhood. The documentary features interviews with rally participants and organizers about the rally and an upcoming bus millage as well as an illuminating interview with a clueless member of the corporate media.
