WZZM Newsreader – The Michigan Supreme Court will not reconsider requiring an Anti-Affirmative Action measure to be on the November ballot. The court again let stand an appeals court decision that the issue go to voters. The proposed state constitutional amendment proposal would ban government and university admissions programs to giving preferential treatment to groups or individuals based on their race, gender, color, ethnicity, or national origin. Opponents of the measure say people collecting petition signatures to get the issue on the ballot misrepresented themselves.
