June 27, 2003 – Three-year anniversary of Critical Mass.

February 28, 2003 – Another “No Blood for Oil!” Critical Mass attempts to take 28th Street but is stopped from taking both lanes by the Grand Rapids Police Department who inform the cyclists that it is illegal to ride two abreast in a lane. The group continued on, riding single-file down 28th Street.

November 2002 – Forty cyclists from Grand Rapids Critical Mass go to the Grand Rapids City Commission to demand bike lanes.

October 25, 2002 – A “No Blood for Oil!” Critical Mass ride took over over 28th Street, one of the busiest roads in Grand Rapids.

June 2000 – Media Mouse organizes the first Critical Mass ride in Grand Rapids, a tradition that is continued on the last Friday of each month from April to October.
